In my last entry for Stuff I’ve Been Reading Lately, I remember rambling about how hard it is for me to finish reading a book these days, so I ended up reading a bunch of mangas. I also mentioned a list of books and mangas that I planned on reading during the holiday vacation. Well, here I am, three months later, and I haven’t really read any of the books I’ve listed.

I’ve been reading Timeline by Michael Crichton for so long and I haven’t really made any progress, so I decided to finally put it down for the meantime and read a new book. With that, I started reading The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown because his books are just unputdownable — you just couldn’t stop turning the pages. Right now, I’m more than halfway through the book. Hopefully, I get to finish this by mid-March or just before the month ends.

In January, I have managed to read One You Can’t Forget by Lexy Timms. To be honest, I liked the Billionaire Rider better because I feel like there’s so much more she could add to this book. Also, that cliff-hanger! I will still definitely read the next book in the series because it’s not at all bad, it’s just that I feel like she could’ve added some more intensity to the story and to the characters.

Another book that I’ve read was a poem book by Iain S. Thomas, entitled Why I’m Sending This to You. It’s a free e-book he wrote for his fans and supporters which also promotes some of his other works. His poems in this book is targeted (I think) for those who seem to lack the motivation to wake up each morning or simply just those who feel that they are not important.

Lastly, I’ve read an entire volume of One-Punch Man and I’m still into it. As the story progresses, other hero wannabes just keep on popping up here and there. One of the things that I love about it is the fact that each issue (or volume) covers a different scenario for Saitama’s adventures of becoming a true hero.

For my next read, I plan on either reading Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins or re-reading The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan (because my boyfriend is currently reading it and I really miss the characters in that series). Come to think of it, I still have to finish reading The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. I badly wanted to get through that trilogy!

Ahh, there are so many books yet so little time.
