Lipa, Batangas: La Finca Village Healing Community

It’s been a year since we last got the chance to go on a real vacation, and since they have been easing the quarantine restrictions in the country, we decided to go on a mini getaway just to take a breather from work (and my stress).

My boyfriend found this place in Lipa, Batangas which not only looked safe, but also very peaceful. The setup is a mini house with its own private pool, so you wouldn’t have to worry about having contact with other people or guests.

We left the Metro early in the morning of February 18, Thursday. There was no traffic, so it only took us an hour to get to Lipa. We still had to buy some stuff for our stay, so we need to drop by SM Lipa for grocery and lunch. Since we got there at around 8 AM, we decided to have coffee at Starbucks first while waiting for the grocery store to open.

After shopping for necessities, we had lunch and went to La Finca for early check-in. They didn’t charge us any extra payment for the early check-in! Our supposed check-in time was 3 PM, we got there before 1 PM. We had a lot of time to settle down, fix our stuff, and take photos! Hehe

It’s also very easy to check-in since we’ve paid online, no more long exposures with their staff. They will just hand you the key to the house and that’s it. We had a free room upgrade which was great! The house was very spacious with its sleeping area, mini kitchen, extra room, and living room. The only problem that we encountered was that the wi-fi wasn’t quite working properly, but that’s okay since we wanted to relax and stay away from social media as much as possible.

It’s also easy to order from Grab because it’s just 15 minutes away from SM Lipa. If you’re up for cooking your own meals, they also have a mini kitchen where you can cook. Of course, since we’re in Batangas, I just couldn’t resist not ordering Loming Batangas for merienda. As for the following day, we were surprised that they gave us complimentary breakfast with the infamous Kapeng Barako. The coffee lover in me was very happy!

Overall, the place was very clean and peaceful. It’s also cozy and perfect for a quick getaway, especially during this time. It’s also a very nice place for couples because the ambiance is very romantic. We’ll definitely come back soon. 🙂
