I know this is a week too late, but I’ve been trying to write this ever since January 1st and I just can’t seem to find the right words to write this blog post. I have a couple of resolutions in mind and have probably told a couple of my bookish friends about it. A couple of days ago, my friend Angele @ Angele Reads Books tagged me to do The New Year’s Resolution Reading Challenge! Just like her, it’s my first book tag here on my blog and I’ve decided to do it along with my personal bookish resolutions. Continue reading

January Reading Plans

December was a great month for relaxing and just catching up with family and friends. I’ve been quite busy scheduling appointments with my doctor and/or online consultation requests because of a medical condition that I found out about myself in 2019. I had to schedule another lab test to follow my doctor’s advise to monitor the condition every six months. Apparently, my lab result didn’t turn out good, so I needed to undergo another test for second opinion. Anyways, given all that, I still had a great time during the days when I get to rest. I’ve watched a lot of movies, series, and anime! ♡

With all that has happened in the past couple of weeks of December, I’ve only read two books, so I am planning on reading as much as I can this month and have included four books in this list:

  • My True Love Gave To Me (anthology) edited by Stephanie Perkins
  • The Fifth Season (Broken Earth Trilogy, #1) by N.K. Jemisin
  • The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams
  • The Guest List by Lucy Foley

Hopefully, I can get to all these in this month. If not, I can always carry them over for next month. No need to pressure myself into reading so many books because one of my 2021 reading resolutions is to take my time when it comes to reading as I’d love to enjoy every minute of the world that I am in instead of reading faster and not being able to devour every moment.

How about you? What’s your first read for 2021?

November Reading Plans

I’ve been busy with work the past couple of months and I honestly feel like I’m burnt out from all of my tasks. Sometimes, I feel like I need a getaway, just somewhere peaceful and cozy where I can just spend a day or two not thinking about anything but this virus — this pandemic — is just so scary. Maybe that’s the reason why I feel restless and always sleepy these days, hence, I haven’t been reading as productively as I have been during the start of the quarantine, but in October, I was able to finish two novels which I am really happy about. ♡ Continue reading
